Every story on this site is an AI-generated summary. Fresh Press gathers the day's news from publishers' own feeds and sitemaps. A language model, currently DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, writes a short summary of each story and why it matters, in its own words, with links to the sources. The model sees only headlines, dates and the publishers' short descriptions, never the articles themselves. The same model chooses the day's front page across all topics.
A story appears only when it is confirmed by at least two different outlets or by an official source. Stories about a person's private life, health or legal trouble appear only after a person has reviewed them. Josseline Beaumont reviews every day's briefing before it is published, and each says so.
